Udinese patron Gino Pozzo confirms Francesco Lodi’s arrival and warns “my patience has limits.”

The Friulani have lost eight of their last nine Serie A games, interrupted only by a shock 1-0 win away to Juventus.

This is also their worst ever home run of six straight defeats, matching the record set in 1961.

“I hope the second half can be a new beginning,” Pozzo told reporters after they fought back from 3-0 down to lose 3-2 against Milan.

“I hope the second half can be a new beginning,” Pozzo told reporters after they fought back from 3-0 down to lose 3-2 against Milan.

“The team showed it has quality and character, but the first half was so bad. I am disconcerted at the fact we haven’t picked up a single point since the new stadium opened.”

Gigi Del Neri was in the stands and Pozzo refused to reassure Coach Stefano Colantuono.

“The side needs more grit and hunger. I have faith and am patient, but patience has limits. I think this squad can have a good season. The players must know we are ready to revolutionise this team.”

There will already be one change, as midfielder Lodi was also at the Stadio Friuli to sign on as a free agent.

“Lodi is a pleasant return. He is still young and can give us a big hand.”
