Granada, the Spanish club owned by Udinese patrons the Pozzo family, have earned promotion to La Liga after 35 years.

The Pozzo family are most famous for being in control of the Stadio Friuli side, who finished in fourth place this season to qualify for the Champions League preliminary round.

However, they also own Spanish team Granada, who thanks to a 1-1 draw at Elche in the play-offs last night secured promotion to La Liga.

It is the first time in 35 years that Granada have been able to play in the top flight. They are promoted along with Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano.
