La Roja have the edge over their opponents ahead of the final round of fixtures in the competition this month, with Luis Enrique’s side unbeaten going into this international break with eight points from four games.
Portugal’s record in June has put them on the back foot, with a draw against Spain in Seville. They then lost out to Switzerland in a major setback in their quest to reach the finals for the first time since 2019.

Both sides will be confident of at least getting themselves on the score sheet, with Spain on target in all four of their June games. Portugal found the back of the net in three of their four clashes too.
Despite having home advantage, Portugal look to have slipped behind their neighbours in the last 12 months and Enrique’s return has placed Spain back in the race to go on and win the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
