Porto have a fortune teller on their payroll, which they hope will make the difference in their Europa League playoff against Lazio.
The Portuguese side hired Madalena Aroso, who is officially called a ‘doctor’, back in July in order to help them solve any issues both on and off the pitch. The fortune teller, who is one of the highest paid staff members at the club, earns around €15,000 a month.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, President Pinto da Costa hired Aroso to find out the results of matches well in advance, something that is apparently making the difference as Porto currently sit second in the Portuguese league, only three points behind league leaders Sporting, whilst having a game in hand.
Porto will face Lazio in a two-legged Europa League playoff round in February, with the Biancocelesti’s second place finish in Group E not being enough to directly qualify to the Round of 16.
The first leg of the playoffs will be played in Portugal on February 17 at 20:00 UK time, with the return leg coming a week later on February 24 at 17:45 UK time in Rome.

Inter need a fortune teller too, to predict the exact date they’re going bankrupt 😉
