Porto have confirmed that they have agreed a deal with Inter over the permanent transfer of Fredy Guarin.

Reports earlier this week suggested that an agreement had been reached and now the Portuguese club have revealed that an €11m transfer will take place.

All that now remains is for the Colombian midfielder, signed on loan by the Beneamata in January, to agree personal terms.

“The completion of the deal is now dependant on the player agreeing a contract with Inter,” a statement from Porto read.

Guarin’s six-month spell at San Siro has been affected by injuries, but he has done enough in his six Serie A appearances to merit a permanent deal.

The South American, formerly of Boca Juniors and Saint Etienne, was also linked with a move to Juventus at the start of this year.
