Newell's Old Boys's Ezequiel Ponce just landed to join Roma, hastening a move that wasn't expected until next year.
The 18-year-old Argentinian striker is considered a promising talent and will be expected to act as a substitute for Edin Dzeko.
The South American club had been paid €7m last January for an amount between 60 and 70 per cent of the player's ownership. Ponce was expected to stay with them for another year and then join Roma in January 2016, or December 2015 at the earliest.

However the scant playing time that Ponce was getting at his club led Roma to shorten the times of the operation and call the player in quickly.
The striker landed this morning in Fiumicino airport and will be at the stadium to watch Roma-Juventus tonight.
