Senior Italian politician Nicola Zingaretti has announced that he has recovered from coronavirus.
Zingaretti tested positive for COVID-19 on March 7 and went on to observe a period of isolation at home.
This afternoon, he confirmed in a Facebook post that he had made a full recovery.
The 54-year-old has been the President of the Lazio regional assembly since 2013 and leader of the semi-ruling Democratic Party since 2019.
His brother is Luca Zingaretti, famous for playing Inspector Montalbano in the hit Rai series.
