Far-right politician Matteo Salvini has urged Milan to ‘not stay quiet’ after an extraordinary refereeing error in the defeat to Spezia and wants Tiemoue Bakayoko and Rade Krunic ‘given away for free.’

The incident occurred during stoppages of Milan’s 2-1 home defeat to Spezia in Serie A last night.

Just before Junior Messias curled in for what would’ve been 2-1 for the Rossoneri, referee Marco Serra blew the whistle for a foul on his teammate at the edge of the area.

Because the referee had stopped play without giving the advantage, VAR could not intervene and the damage was done.

Spezia went on to win 2-1 on the counter-attack with the last kick of the game.

Milan have been magnanimous about the howler, with reports Zlatan Ibrahimovic had to console the official in tears afterwards, but not everyone is so ready to forgive and forget.

“Referee was disgusting! I hope the club does not stay quiet the way it usually does,” wrote Italian politician Salvini on Milan’s Instagram post.

“P.S. Let’s give away Bakayoko and Krunic for free. Forza Milan!”

  1. I don’t normally listen or read anything Salvin says, but on this occasion I’m 100% in total agreement with him. Yes the referee was a disgrace but Bakayoko and Krunic are not Milan quality players.

  2. Please stop reporting what this nasty fascist says!
He uses football and Milan to further his, frankly, racist agenda. Whatever their abilities/performances, Bakayoko and Krunic sweat for Milan, whilst this guy is no fan, all he does is publicly undermine coaches and players, especially if they are not northern Italian. He is on trial and should be locked up.

  3. My god, enough. Krunic and Baka are out there because Kessie and Tonali are unavailable , # 3 Bennacer as well.
We play the hand we are dealt, we could have and should have won even with 4th and 5th choice players at CDM and CD . Critical areas to say the least !

We made mistakes , so did the ref . happens every game !

  4. We all said what was needed to say. Now it’s time to leave the poor guy (referee) alone. At least he had the courage to apologize and feel bad about what he did, unlike many others. Let’s wish him the all best for the future and forget about it. Milan must not feel like a victim. We still have the chance to close the gap in the next two weeks.

  5. On the one hand, ref should play advantage. On the other, without the foul by the Spezia player, the ball would not have even gone to Messias. Rebic was about to blast over and only scuffed it right to Messias because of the contact.

But how do they blame the ref for conceding the last minute Spezia winner, is what I want to know.

And for all the people complaining about ‘fascism’, perhaps you are not familiar with the ‘totally not fascist’ mandates, lockdowns, travel restrictions being implemented around the world?

  6. Fascism ≠ Pandemic restrictions. I cannot stress that enough. Comparing them is highly insulting to people who have suffered at the hands of dirty fascist scum. It is the self-victimisation du jour.
