Politano flew back to Milan last night, visibly upset and refusing to speak to the media, but he won’t be there for long, because Inter need to send him elsewhere before they can bring in Olivier Giroud from Chelsea.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, his next destination could be Napoli, in a straight swap of six-month loans with centre-forward Llorente.

This would suit all parties, as Napoli have moved to a 4-3-3 formation under Gennaro Gattuso and lack alternatives on the wings, while Llorente is an experienced old hand who can fill in for Romelu Lukaku at times.
