The Partenopei have scheduled to resume training tomorrow, after two and a half days of rest, but Tuttosport highlights the Mexican attacker is suspended for the game against the Nerazzurri.

Coach Gattuso is expected to start Politano on the flank and the former Inter man will be eager to prove Antonio Conte wrong this weekend.

Coach Gattuso is expected to start Politano on the flank and the former Inter man will be eager to prove Antonio Conte wrong this weekend.

The 27-year-old has scored eight goals in 29 Serie A appearances and moved to Napoli in January 2020, having struggled to carve out a space in Conte’s line-up at San Siro.

The report also claims Elseid Hysaj could replace Mario Rui at left-back, whilst Gattuso must choose between Victor Osimhen and Dries Mertens up front.

Napoli chase a place in the top four this season and arrive from a run of five wins in their last six Serie A games.

The one setback came against direct rivals Juventus, who sit three points above the Azzurri and a win against Inter would boost their confidence ahead of the run-in.
