Matteo Politano believes Inter have shown that they are ‘a great team who never give up’ after three late wins in a row.

Last-gasp winners against Tottenham Hotspur and Sampdoria were followed by a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina, clinched by Danilo D’Ambrosio in the 77th minute.

“It was important to give continuity to the two previous games, even if we expected a difficult match because Fiorentina have been doing well,” Politano told Inter TV.

“We did well, even if were also a bit lucky. We’re showing ourselves to be a great team, who never give up.

“We must keep going like this and if we do that, we’ll enjoy so much satisfaction. I’m very happy with how it’s all going and how I’ve started, but we have a lot to work on.

Cagliari? It’ll be difficult against them. They’ll wait for us in their half of the pitch so we mustn’t let them counter and lose any balls to them.

“It’ll be difficult, but the fans have been helping us a lot at San Siro and they’ll keep doing so.”
