Olivier Giroud cannot complete his transfer from Chelsea to Inter until Matteo Politano has been sold, claim Italian reports.

The Nerazzurri are eager to bolster their squad during the January transfer window, with advanced talks also for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen and Manchester United wing-back Ashley Young.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Giroud has agreed personal terms with Inter until June 2021 and Chelsea are prepared to let him leave for €5m plus bonuses.

However, in order for the books to be balanced, Politano first has to be moved on.

The winger is not part of Antonio Conte’s plans and has barely featured so far this season.
