“Today Roma take on Fiorentina, our fate is in our hands,” Poli explained to Milan Channel.

“We are doing very well and we are always focused. Our three central defenders are playing very well lately.

“In our squad, we have players that can be relied upon. Whoever comes into the side does well.

“We must always keep in mind that we are playing for a prestigious club and that we are lucky to wear this shirt.

“It’s important we play well for ourselves, our fans and the club. We have set some important goals.”

Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side take on Sassuolo on Sunday afternoon, and Poli is not expecting an easy game.

“Sassuolo are a strong team and it will be a hard game. We will have to show a strong desire to win.

“We'll be facing a tough team and they're in good form. Sassuolo play good football and they have a very capable Coach [Eusebio Di Francesco].

“We’re Milan though, and we have a duty to go there and try to win.”
