Andrea Poli has hope that Pippo Inzaghi proves to be like Fabio Capello, as he admits to frustration felt under Clarence Seedorf.

The midfielder can look ahead to next season 100 per cent as Milan player after the club negotiated to purchase the remaining half of his registration last week from Sampdoria.

“To have been signed outright is a source of pride and satisfaction,” Poli has considered to Tuttosport today.

“I have great motivation for the next season, we want to make up for last year. I’d like Milan to return to competing at the top of the League, because that is what they deserve.

“It will take hard work, commitment and sacrifice for this. The team has big names but we must find the right set-up and I hope that everyone can play in their natural role.

“[New arrivals Jeremy] Menez and Alex have international status, they will help us.”

Poli will be working under new Coach Pippo Inzaghi this summer.

“Inzaghi certainly has had a good experience with the Primavera team because he won the Viareggio Tournament.

“I am told by everyone that he has a great enthusiasm and gives identity to his team. In addition, the group of players at Milan want to rebuild.

“I am not afraid of the inexperience of Inzaghi. I think back to Capello and I hope he is like him, from the Coach of the youth team to the champion of it all.”

Inzaghi replaces Clarence Seedorf in the hotseat. Mauro Tassotti and Giampaolo Pazzini have commented this week on the difficulties of working with the Dutchman.

“I had significant playing time for most of the season, whilst with the arrival of Seedorf I played less and, for someone like me who wanted to go to the World Cup, the choices of the Coach did not help, especially for those two months when I played less.

“The moment Seedorf arrived the group needed certainty and security, the changes that he wanted to make at that time were difficult to assimilate and a little more dialogue would not have hurt.”

The midfielder considered hopes for next season.

“I hope I can be the surprise of the season, we will not play in Europe and we can face the championship very well.

“I hope that Kaka can stay because he transmits a calmness to the group, he is a great champion.

“Balotelli? He is strong and can give us so much.

“Tassotti? I am glad that he stays, he is a great Coach and can give us the right mindset. He represents Milan’s golden years.”
