The specialist consultation over Paul Pogba’s knee injury will be postponed until tomorrow, according to reports, as Juventus and the France national team want to be sure in case he misses the World Cup.

The lesion to the lateral meniscus in his right knee occurred during a training session in the Juventus pre-season tour of the United States.

Before even making an official appearance in the Bianconeri jersey, Pogba is facing a decision that could transform his entire career.

A specialist was meant to see Pogba in Lyon today, but reports suggest that has been postponed again until tomorrow.

There are two options for surgery, as either he can have part of the meniscus removed and be out of action for one to two months, or he can suture the lesion, which will be a long-term fix for the recurring knee problem, but risk him missing the 2022 World Cup.

The 29-year-old needs to decide whether to prioritise the short-term gain or resolve an issue that has affected his performances for Manchester United over the last two years.

Until Juve know how long Pogba will be out for, they cannot decide how to proceed on the transfer market, as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic of Lazio has been suggested as a possible replacement.

  1. Pogba’s loyalty to his employer or the French team?
One pays him around 10 million net and the other 0.
    Fascinating isn’t it?
