After weeks of waiting anxiously, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba will finally learn the results of the counter-analysis on his positive doping test today.

The 30-year-old Frenchman showed higher than usual levels of testosterone in a random drug test carried out after the Bianconeri’s 3-0 win over Udinese in August, a match in which he was left on the bench.

Pogba claimed his innocence and requested a counter-analysis on the incriminating urine sample to confirm the results.

Page 22 of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Pogba will learn the results of the counter-analysis today, something which’ll have a key impact on the future of his career.

Should the positive results be confirmed, the Frenchman could be handed a four-year ban, although this could be reduced to two years on good faith.

If Pogba is ultimately banned, Juventus would be able to terminate his contract, which would save them around €30m, considering that his contract lasts until June 2026 and is worth €10m total per season.
