Juventus are in talks with Paul Pogba and according to multiple reports in Italy, the Frenchman’s return would push Weston McKennie out of the club.

Pogba sees his Manchester United contract expire at the end of the season and his representative, Rafaela Pimenta, met the Bianconeri on Monday.

Juventus have offered Pogba a €7.5m-a-year deal until 2025, but an agreement between the two parties is still far from being reached as the former Bianconeri star is looking for an €11m-a-year salary.

Nevertheless, the Serie A giants are confident that they’ll be able to reach an agreement with their ex-midfielder.

Tuttosport and Gazzetta report that Pogba’s move to Turin would push McKennie out of the Allianz Stadium. The USMNT international has been on the sidelines since February because of an ankle injury and Juventus are ready to listen to offers for the former Schalke man.

McKennie has had highs and lows during his first season under Max Allegri, while he got regular playing time with Andrea Pirlo in the dug-out in 2020-21. Juventus’ chase for a new attacking midfielder means McKennie won’t be a regular starter in Turin next season, so the Old Lady doesn’t consider the 23-year-old ‘untouchable.’

Lazio‘s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is Juventus’ alternative to Pogba, but Claudio Lotito wants €70-80m to sell the Serbia international.

  1. I’d prefer to sale Rabiot, McKennie is only and kid and has a lot of potential, I think he’s been one of the very few bright sparks for Juve these last two seasons, hes definitely deserved more game time than Rabiot and Locatelli.

  2. No, Juventus pushes McKennie out of Juventus. Just like they did with Dybala, Kulusevski and others.

@Ryan: get a grip, nobody is willing to pay for Rabiot`s overinflated wage, let alone a transfer fee.

  3. @Ryan McKennie is defnitely more deserved than Rabiot , But Locatelli ?! Are you out of your mind ?!
I’d love to see Arthur and Rabiot go and Pogba take over. but Locatelli is the only reason Juve didn’t end up in relegation Zone this Year with Allegri

  4. This shouldn’t be an either/or question. McKennie, Arthur, and Rabiot are not worthy of the shirt. McKennie puts in a good shift but he’s not going to make the difference going forward.

  5. Good move by PhD Max and the Marlboro sales girl. Having both Weston and Pogba would be deadly with their tik tok dance moves. A distraction from the implementation of the Feng Shui reverse slow ball. Rabiot gets it and is a future Juventus legend. Locatelli should have thought twice about the move as he now plays as a defender and 80 yards away from the goal. All done at the behest of the back, back, down, down commander.

  6. Why are Juve obsessed with getting Pogba, they cant tell hes a player who shows up 30% of the time who has an ego beyond any club can handle. hes so overrated

  7. Only an American idiot can prefer McKennie over Locatelli. It’s apples vs bananas anyways. Locatelli is the only midfielder that can play the deep lying role.

  8. Another stupid move from the management

For now, mc kennie has a lot to offer compare to pogba

Pogba is a deadwood anyway, he is not the same with 5-6 years ago and looks like an aging player
