Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is the only Serie A player to make the 23-man Ballon D’Or shortlist, which features no Italians.

France international Pogba has come off a sensational season with the Old Lady in which he won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and reached the Champions League final.

His former midfield partner Arturo Vidal, who joined Bayern Munich in the summer, is also on the shortlist.

Spain’s La Liga dominates the list, with 10 players nominated including runaway favourites Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
