Paul Pogba has returned from his retreat in the United States and is finally close to making his return for Juventus, reports detail.

The 29-year-old French midfielder returned to the Bianconeri in the summer on a free transfer, penning a four-year deal, but he was immediately sidelined with a knee injury. Pogba underwent an operation at the start of September and has been sidelined in recovery ever since, being forced to miss out on the World Cup in Qatar.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pogba has now returned from a 15-day retreat in the US, where he worked closely with a member of Juventus’ medical staff, and he’s expected to arrive at Continassa today to continue his recovery.

The Frenchman is keen to take to the pitch in the Bianconeri’s first two games of 2023 against Cremonese and Udinese, but his first real test will be the clash with Napoli on January 13.

The return of Pogba will give Massimiliano Allegri’s squad a key creative boost in their midfield.
