Paul Pogba cannot train with Juventus following a preventive suspension from the Anti-Doping Tribunal and has three days to request a counter-analysis.

The French midfielder has been suspended by the Italian Anti-Doping Tribunal having failed a doping test on August 20 after Juventus’ 3-0 win over Udinese where he did not feature. The 30-year-old tested positive for testosterone.

Juventus confirmed Pogba’s precautional suspension on Monday evening and as a consequence, Pogba did not show up for training at Continassa this morning, as reported by TMW.

Pogba has three days to request counter-analysis from the moment he’s informed about the failed test, so starting from Monday. Once he submits his requests, he has seven days to undergo the second test whose result cannot be appealed.

Pogba has not yet reacted while his agent Rafaela Pimenta stressed that the French midfielder did not intend to break the rules.

Juventus can already suspend Pogba’s salary payments and would have the right to terminate his contract if the counter-analysis comes back positive too.
