Pogba injury for Juventus points to Manchester United problems

Paul Pogba has left the Juventus pre-season tour of the United States and will visit a specialist in Italy tomorrow, where he is expected to have knee surgery, but Manchester United medics are blamed for not doing it earlier.

The midfielder sustained a lesion to the lateral meniscus in his right knee during a training session in Los Angeles last week.

He left the United States today and flew back to Italy, where he is set to have a specialist orthopaedic consultation.

Multiple sources are confident surgery will be required, keeping Pogba out for at least a month, most likely two.

However, reports also emerged that Juventus medical staff are pointing towards Manchester United for their failure to deal with the issue earlier.

Pogba barely played over the last few months of his career at Old Trafford due to recurring muscular issues in his right leg.

That is also the leg that sustained the meniscus injury, with claims in Calciomercato.com and La Gazzetta dello Sport that these have all been caused by constant tension within the knee.

Because that basic issue was not addressed – which is why he is now seeing an orthopaedic specialist to focus on balance, strain on one knee and alignment – the damage accumulated until this lesion.

If surgery had been done earlier, it might’ve prevented the months of on-going injuries.

  1. Nothing to do with Manchester. When you buy a second hand banger you must check it properly, under the hood, seats, mirrors and most importantly the engine. PhD Max did his fast and furious inspection but the same training procedure Julian discovered maybe triggered it. Doing slow motion yoga back, back, down, down is not good for the joints. Credit to Utd for giving up even flogging him. They must have been sick of the wages, Tik Tok and hair dye. 4th spot tripleta is for sure.

  2. Really interesting. It’s not like he played much at United. Maybe he slipped on barthroom floor while styling his hair.

  3. I like the idea of a second hand car. Non of them misses rusty and worn out parts; some needing oils and greases here and there. Most unfortunate, a broken part!

  5. Isn’t that is the purpose of medical check up ? to find something like this and stop the transfer, when you give green light, you accept whatever condition that come with that body
