14:39 Why Juventus could wait before terminating Pogba’s contract
Juventus can terminate Pogba’s contract after doping ban, but club could wait
14:12 AP: Four-year bans are standard under the World Anti-Doping Code but can be reduced in cases where an athlete can prove their doping was not intentional, if the positive test was a result of contamination or if they provide “substantial assistance” to help investigators.
There seems to be nothing yet that would give Paul Pogba any hope of overturning this ban at CAS.https://t.co/n2JTETvrJv

13:58 Pogba gets four-year doping ban: live updates
Follow today’s live updates and reactions after the anti-doping tribunal confirmed a four-year ban for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
The decision was first revealed by Italian newspaper Repubblica and then confirmed by the major sources.
Pogba failed a doping test on August 20, 2023, after the opening Serie A game of the season between Udinese and Juventus at the Blueenergy stadium in Udine. The Frenchman had been an unused substitute in that game.
There are, of course, plenty of reactions to the news, which, as highlighted by the Turin-based paper Tuttosport, could mean the end of the midfielder’s career.
Juventus have not yet commented on the ruling, whilst sources close to Pogba have told Sky Sport Italia that the ex-Manchester United midfielder will lodge an appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
