Paul Pogba is so determined to make this a successful season for Juventus after his many injuries that he is cutting his vacation a week short.

The midfielder acknowledges his first campaign back in Turin was a disaster, as he picked up a knee injury in pre-season training in America and never fully recovered, suffering a series of setbacks after initially delaying surgery.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Pogba has informed Juve that he will be at the Continassa training ground from July 2, a good 10 days before the rest of the squad is expected to join him.

The France international hopes this will give him a strong foundation of fitness so that he can start on the same level as his teammates and make this his comeback season.

Those injury problems had been following him since he was still at Manchester United and only seemed to get worse with the move to Juventus.

The 30-year-old managed only 10 competitive appearances this term, for a total 161 minutes of football.
