Paul Pogba was all smiles after landing in Turin this evening, underlining his happiness with his decision to return to Juventus.

The 29-year-old Frenchman left Manchester United on a free transfer earlier this month after his contract expired, ending a fairly difficult six-year spell in the North West of England. He’s now ready to return to Juventus, keen to hit the heights seen during his first spell between 2012 and 2016.

Speaking to Juventus’ media outlets, Pogba gave his initial thoughts following his arrival in Turin, ahead of this weekend’s medicals.

“I’m back, I’m happy to be here. I can’t wait to start and wear the Juventus shirt again.”

Juventus sold Pogba to Manchester United in August 2012 in a deal worth around €105m. The Frenchman was expected to light up the Premier League, but things failed to fully pan out and he ultimately left the club on a free transfer in a fairly anonymous fashion earlier this month.

He’s a much needed addition to Massimiliano Allegri’s midfield, finally providing the team with a creative and unique option in the centre of the pitch.

  1. Forza Juve. The Scudetto and Champions League are coming back to Turin. Can’t wait for the new season to start.

  2. PhD Max will turn that United form into world beating back, back, down, down. If he can ruin Kulu, Chiesa and Dusan, I am sure all he needs is 2 mins to show Pogba the feng shui reverse tiki taka ball.

  3. Very afraid. Come next season you pantyhose woke cheer leaders will eating your words again. I am a betting man. I got it right with Pirlo (not his fault), and I got it right with Max Skywalker. Give PhD Max a better car and he will drive it at 1 mph, checking mirrors every 2 seconds and only knowing 2 gears. Neutral and reverse lol.
