Mauricio Pochettino insists that alternating Girio Donnarumma and Keylor Navas in the PSG goal is the best option for the Ligue 1 giants.

The Italy international started in PSG’s 1-0 win over Real Madrid on Tuesday, playing his fourth Champions League game this season and in his career.

The former Milan goalkeeper has played 16 games across all competitions this term, conceding eight goals and keeping eight clean sheets.

Mauricio Pochettino is satisfied with his performances in Paris and believes that the management of his shot-stoppers is perfect for the club.

“We decide [who starts] game by game,” the Argentinean coach said at a press conference today.

“The No.1 is the one who plays, the other ones goes to the bench. Sometimes Navas starts, sometimes it’s Donnarumma.

“Navas has played three games more. We have two top goalkeepers and we think this is the best choice. We haven’t yet decided who will play against Nantes. We will do it tomorrow and inform the team.”

Donnarumma signed a contract until 2026 in Paris, while Keylor Navas’ deal in the French capital runs out in June 2024.
