“I want to play,” Plizzari told reporters. “I improved when on loan at Ternana last year because I was constantly on the pitch.

“I hope to have a few chances to play at Milan too. It’ll be tough, but I like a challenge and I know how much I can give.

“After the World Cup, I will have a good think about my options.”

There have been reports Donnarumma could be sold to help balance the books, giving Plizzari the gloves with Pepe Reina in support.
