According to Sky Sport Italia, the list included goalkeeper Mandanda – who went to Crystal Palace – Sao Paulo centre-back Rodrigo Caio and Lyon full-back Jeremy Morel.
Either Mauricio Isla or Colo Colo and Chile defender Jean Beausejour were requested, along with either West Ham’s Enner Valencia or Newcastle United’s Florian Thauvin.
