The FIGC has finally ratified a FIFA ruling, so players can now represent three clubs in one season rather than two.

The decision had been made by FIFA in June as a result of the COVID pandemic and consequent changes to the fixture list.

Today, the AIC (Italian Players’ Association) and FIGC (Italian Football Federation) announced that for the upcoming January transfer window, this rule would apply.

Therefore, any professional or youth player can now sign for three clubs in a single sporting season rather than two.
