Gleison Bremer shone while Rafael Leao and other Rossoneri strikers failed to impress in Juventus’ 1-0 win over Milan at San Siro.

Juventus player ratings

Szczesny 6.5 – It was not a busy night at the office for the Poland international except for a super save to deny Giroud in the early stages.

Gatti 6.5 – Didn’t fear Leao. He collected a yellow card, but it was almost inevitable. (77’ Hujsen N/A)

Bremer 7.5 – Juventus’ defensive leader. Allegri said this was probably his best game at Juventus.

Rugani 6.5 – Reliable as Allegri had predicted.

Weah 6 – His pace became a threat for Milan in the second half, but passes should have been more accurate. (83’ Miretti N/A)

McKennie 6 – Not enough quality in the final third, but he helped the team defensively. Selfless performance.

Locatelli 7 – Remember his goal against Juventus and Gigi Buffon at San Siro seven years ago? It was scored on October 22 as well. Loca showed personality with the ball, aside from the goal.

Rabiot 6.5 – He was given the captain’s armband given Danilo’s injury. Did nothing out of this world, but played smartly.

Kostic 5.5 – One would expect more crosses from the Serbia international, but he didn’t have many chances to do so as he played as a left-back (55 Cambiaso 6)

Kean 5.5 – The Italian caused the red card for Thiaw, but wasted the best chance of the first half a few minutes later. (55′ Vlahovic 6)

Milik 6 – The Poland international held the ball when the team needed it. He wasn’t really dangerous, but he didn’t make many errors either. (77’ Chiesa N/A)

Coach: Allegri 7 – If he could choose, he’d win all games like this. Juventus are not spectacular, but are rock solid and are now two points below Inter.

Milan player ratings

Mirante 6.5 – Started his first game in two years and was unlucky to concede from a deflected shot. Produced a great double save on Vlahovic in the stoppages.

Calabria 6 – Played with grinta, but his crosses were not good enough. (77’ Kjaer N/A)

Thiaw 4.5 – Sent off after 40 minutes in the first half. He was far away from the goal, but was the last Milan defender too. Exposed defensively, but this is due to Pioli’s tactics too.

Tomori 6 – Milan didn’t risk much and the Englishman put in a solid performance.

Florenzi 5.5 – Too many errors with the ball at his feet.

Reijnders 5.5 – Quality was there, but struggled to cope with Juventus’ pressing and didn’t create numerical advantage (77’ Romero N/A).

Adli 6 – The Frenchman showed personality in a big game, but needed that extra step to be decisive as well. (60’ Krunic 5.5).

Musah 5.5 – Dynamic, but similarly to Reijnders he was never really a threat in the final third.

Pulisic 6 – Didn’t really have time to prove himself as Pioli had to replace him when Thiaw was sent off. (41′ Kalulu 5.5).

Giroud 5 – Lost many duels after a decent start. (60’ Jovic 5)

Leao 5 – A lot of lows and not many highs. Simply, he should have made the difference, but he never did it.

Coach: Pioli 5 – His Milan side pressed high, were attacking-minded but didn’t create many chances. When Leao has a bad night, the Rossoneri struggle against teams that sit deep.
