Platense President Sebastián Ordoñez is flying to Italy to finalise Marco Pellegrino’s move to Milan.
The Argentinean centre-back with an Italian passport is on the verge of moving to the Stadio Meazza as TyC Sports, Gazzetta and Sky Sport Italia claim Platense President Sebastián Ordoñez is currently flying to Milan to meet the Rossoneri directors.
The meeting will take place today, Friday, August 18.
The Serie A giants are on the lookout for a new centre-back after loaning Matteo Gabbia to Villarreal earlier this summer.
Pellegrino’s contract expires in June 2024, so the Rossoneri could secure his signature for a low transfer fee, believed to be close to €5m.
Pellegrino turned 21 on July 18 and has played 17 games at a senior level at Platense under Boca Juniors legend Martin Palermo.
Having an Italian passport, Gazzetta reports that FIGC have been monitoring Pellegrino for a few months ahead of a potential call-up to the national team.
