Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has claimed that there was a 'misunderstanding' between the squad and Zdenek Zeman.

The Giallorossi struggled for consistency under the Czech tactician earlier this term, before replacing him in February with Aurelio Andreazzoli.

And the playmaker has insisted that things are going well under the new Coach, whilst also commenting on the upcoming Coppa Italia final against Lazio.

“I believe a lot in this Roma team,” he told reporters this afternoon. “I have had a great time here, right from the beginning.

“This year we had some problems. With Zeman maybe there was some misunderstanding.

“But since Andreazzoli joined, he has given the group a lot of confidence.

“Obviously we want to win the cup, even if the Coach has told us to remain focused on the last five League games.

“It will be an important match against Lazio and we want to do well.”
