The midfielder criticised the caution of the team following Tuesday’s 4-4 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, a match the Giallorossi were leading 4-2 with 10 minutes to go.
“What happened in Leverkusen shouldn’t have happened, but it was our own fault,” Pjanic reflected, speaking to La Repubblica.

“With 10 minutes to go there was no need to concede two goals, we should have seen out the result. Also because we were clearly superior.
“Unfortunately, in the Champions League we react, instead of being active from the start. It was the same in Borisov, but it shouldn’t happen.”
