“It was a struggle, we knew every Champions League game would be tough. Lyon had perhaps their best performance of the season, but even down to 10 men we fought hard, were well-organised and even managed to score,” Pjanic told Mediaset Premium.
“These are three very important points for our season. I never felt afraid, no. We knew things were more complicated when going down to 10, and it’s true Gigi made some remarkable saves, but we continued to believe in the three points.
“There are 50-odd games over a season and you cannot dominate all of them, creating 20 shooting opportunities every time. You must know how to win even through difficulties.
“Gigi once again proved he’s always there. It makes no sense to doubt him, as he is so important for Juventus and Italy. He’s a great guy, a great goalkeeper and a key figure for us all.”
