Pjanic can’t consider De Rossi exit

Miralem Pjanic has spoken of the negative impact that losing Daniele De Rossi would have on Roma this season.

De Rossi has yet to extend his contract with the capital club that is set to expire in the summer and has reportedly been set an ultimatum by general manager Franco Baldini to do so before the end of the January transfer window.

Speaking to the collected Press after training on Thursday afternoon, midfielder Pjanic spoke of the fear of losing the Italian international in the near future.

“I don’t even want to think about it,” the Bosnian declared. “He is a player that is so strong, I hope that he stays.

“It would be hard to lose a player that is so influential, the team would remain strong, if weakened, but the Coach and the directors will do their best to keep him.

“The objectives would be the same though, the club has ambitious goals.”

David Pizarro abruptly left today’s training session, raising doubts over his future at the club.

“I did not see the incident in training. We played a match, maybe Pizarro was angry because he lost. I do not know, I have not spoken with him but I believe that nothing serious happened.”
