Juventus continue talks to sign Miralem Pjanic and Manuel Locatelli and are ‘confident’ of closing a deal with Sassuolo for the Italian midfielder.

Goal.com’s Romeo Agresti provides the latest updates on the Bianconeri’s transfers.

Locatelli is Juventus’ priority in the market, but the Serie A giants have failed to match the Neroverdi’s €40m asking price for the 23-year-old.

Locatelli wants to play Champions League football and has snubbed a move to Arsenal, which had matched Sassuolo’s economic demands.

Juventus reportedly offered €5m for a two-year loan deal with an obligation to buy for €20m.

Sassuolo would be open to giving a little discount to the Old Lady, selling Locatelli on a one-year loan worth €5m plus an obligation to buy at least €30m.

Talks between the two clubs are ongoing, but Juventus continue to monitor Miralem Pjanic too.

The agents of the Barcelona midfielder have reportedly contacted Juventus, trying to speed up negotiations.

However, Juventus must sell one of their midfielders before signing Pjanic, who is ready to take a pay cut to return to reunite with Massimiliano Allegri.
