Marko Pjaca believes Genoa can have a ‘beautiful and great season’ under coach Rolando Maran, after having started with a 4-1 win against Crotone.
The Croatian joined the Rossoblu on loan from Juventus this summer and scored in his first competitive game for the Grifoni.
“We started very well. The first few days were really beautiful,” Pjaca told the club’s official website. “The team are a group of really good lads.
“I have known many of them for some time. I can say I feel at home.”

Coach Maran was brought in to replace Davide Nicola, who helped the Grifoni to safety in 2019-20, but Pjaca believes the new coach can help them have a ‘great season’.
“He made a good impression on me. I hope we can have a great season. We have to continue with this spirit and this game.
“Then, we can have a beautiful and important season.”
Genoa continue with an away game against Napoli on Sunday.
