New York City FC midfielder Pirlo has played for both clubs in his career, so is eager to stay on the fence.
“It is a very special game for me and I will be watching as an interested but neutral spectator,” Pirlo told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“A prediction? Anything can happen, so home win, draw or away victory.”
As for the Scudetto, Pirlo sees only one team stand out above the rest.
“Juve are absolutely the best squad in Italy. Above all, they also have a strong club that plans ahead and doesn’t get certain decisions wrong. It is fundamental to get the right Coach and find the players most suited to him.
“It might seem a banal comment, but it’s not.”
Milan are in the process of a takeover by Chinese investors, while Inter are already run by Suning Group.
“If they bring serious projects and important funds, then they are welcome. It’s a pity there aren’t any more Italians who take over the clubs, but if those who arrive have the right approach, then that’s fine.”
