Andrea Pirlo could play one more game in his career, as Universitario de Deportes in Peru confirm their offer to the Italy legend.
The midfielder hung up his boots at the age of 38 after the end of his contract with New York City FC last month.
However, there may well be one final outing on to the playing turf in South America.
Universitario de Deportes announced their proposal to play Pirlo in the ‘Noche Crema’ – a special January event where they present the team and shirt for the new season.

“There is an offer from a company that wants to bring Pirlo to the Noche Crema, but nothing has been finalised yet,” spokesman Carlos Moreno told Exitosa Deportes.
Essentially, sponsors would pay the salary for his one night only appearance.
It’s not a new idea, as Ronaldinho already took part in a friendly for Peruvian side Cienciano last year.
