Andrea Pirlo discusses taking a role within the Italy setup – “it would be nice to work with the national team”.

The former midfielder retired at the end of the 2017 MLS season, and hasn’t yet decided what to do in his post-playing career.

Having won 116 caps for the Azzurri, a role with the national team would be a logical next step, and the former Milan and Juventus man is open to that.

“I’ll speak with [FIGC sub-commissioner Alessandro] Costacurta because he’s a friend,” Pirlo told RMC Sport.
