Andrea Pirlo believes Juventus’ Gianluigi Buffon is ‘perhaps the best goalkeeper ever’.
The shot-stopper won rave reviews for his performance in the win over Manchester City this week, and his Italy teammate believes he’s the best-ever in his position.
“I’m lucky to have played with him since we were 15,” Pirlo told Sky.
“For me, he’s unique, and perhaps the best goalkeeper ever. Watching him playing and training is awesome.

Pirlo played with Buffon at club level for four seasons, before swapping Juventus for New York City this summer.
The pair won the World Cup together in 2006, with Buffon picking up 150 Azzurri caps to Pirlo’s 116.
