“Federico Santander has an inflammation and will be working on his fitness for the next game with SPAL. We’ll use our best players and there will be Angelo da Costa in goal. We’ve earned our chance to play this fixture and we won’t waste that opportunity.

“We are up against perhaps the best team in Europe right now, but we can do well.”

Bologna should give debuts to January buys Nicola Sansone and Roberto Soriano.

“The new players are in great shape and they are two players I never expected to be working with at Bologna. I thank the club for putting them at my disposal.

“It is possible both will be in the initial XI. Soriano will definitely play, with Sansone I need to decide if he plays 60 minutes or 30. Soriano becomes a trequartista in the 3-5-2 and has the characteristics to suit my football.”
