Pippo Inzaghi believes his brother Simone “has proved himself up to the task” of becoming Italy CT, but only after more years at Lazio.
The pair were strikers and both Italy internationals and now they have started careers as Coaches.
While Pippo had one year on the Milan bench and is now in Serie B with Venezia, Simone won the Italian Super Cup and has reached the Europa League quarter-finals with Lazio.
“I am doing good work and for two years now Venezia have given me a great deal of joy,” Pippo told Radio Radio.

“Obviously, the Nazionale is everyone’s dream, but right now Gigi Di Biagio is there and I wish him all the best. We all aspire to the ultimate job, being Italy Coach.
“I hope that soon my brother Simone could get there too. He has already proved himself up to the task and I know how much he cares about Lazio, but his profile is professional, well-prepared and he can represent Italy well.
“Right now he is at Lazio, he’s happy there and wants to remain as long as possible.”
