Last weekend’s clash with Juventus was the second home clash over the winter period to have been rearranged as a result of the snow.

“The interruptions have somewhat hit our continuity and rhythm, but it is equally true that from Friday, when we will definitely be playing, we have 17 games in 85 days,” reflected Pioli this week.
“So in less than three months we must be focused, careful and stay on the path that we have been on for a little while now.”
Bologna are in fact unbeaten in the calendar year, picking up four draws and a win from five played.
“We will build on the work done up until now, because with the midweek rounds a decline is what is expected.
“However, it also allows us to play with continuity again, find the rhythm and I’m lucky to have everyone but [Simone] Loria available. All the players will be involved.”
Whilst happy to return to the field with his team, Pioli is anxious of the timing in facing Inter.
“We will face an angry opponent who will want to quickly recover from an unlucky game against Novara. They are full of champions.
“They are fighting for third place, we must make it difficult for them. Novara has shown that an organised team can take something away.
“We will encounter an injured opponent who will not want to lose any more ground in the Champions League qualification race.
“But, we are Bologna and we have the right cards to play our game.”
