Stefano Pioli is planning big changes for his Milan side when they face Sassuolo on Sunday, including Charles De Ketelaere and Alexis Saelemaekers, while Tommaso Pobega is the favourite to replace Ismael Bennacer.

It kicks off on Sunday at 11.30 GMT at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

As always, the Rossoneri are decimated by injuries and bans, as Bennacer is suspended with Fikayo Tomori, Mike Maignan, Fode Ballo-Toure, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alessandro Florenzi on the treatment table.

The positive news is the return of Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria, but the options in defence are otherwise limited to Simon Kjaer and Pierre Kalulu.

Pobega and Rade Krunic are battling for the midfield spot alongside Sandro Tonali.

It is widely reported that De Ketelaere and Saelemaekers will get the nod, sending Brahim Diaz and Junior Messias to the bench.

As for the rest, there is no pushing Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud out of the starting XI.

Milan (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kalulu, Kjaer, Hernandez; Tonali, Pobega; Saelemaekers, De Ketelaere, Leao; Giroud
