Stefano Pioli admits they “struggled and it wasn’t the real Lazio” in a 3-1 defeat to Milan, but “our priority is Roma.”
The Aquile had won all eight of their home fixtures between Serie A, Champions League and Europa League before this capitulation.

The Aquile had won all eight of their home fixtures between Serie A, Champions League and Europa League before this capitulation.
“We struggled, Milan closed the spaced and we needed to spread the play with a higher tempo,” Coach Pioli told Mediaset Premium.
“We conceded goals in the key moments of the game, when we were a little naïve. Milan were quicker than us and we allowed them an avoidable opening goal.
“It was not our best evening, but now we must focus on the derby, which is hugely important for us and can certainly lift everyone’s mood around the club.”
Lazio do face their arch-rivals Roma next weekend, but on Thursday there’s a Europa League trip to Rosenborg.
“It’s true that the Europa League is an important competition and with a win away to Rosenborg we could qualify automatically for the next round, but our priority remains the derby with Roma.
“We’ve lost two in a row and now we have to get back on our feet. We had too many difficulties tonight, as we needed a stronger team spirit. It wasn’t the real Lazio throughout the game.”
