Stefano Pioli has included Theo Hernandez in the Milan squad list for tonight’s Serie A match against Napoli.

The French left back will join the team for tonight’s match against the Partenopei, although he is unlikely to start because he is still suffering from a fever and other flu-like symptoms, with Fodé Ballo-Touré set to take his place in the starting XI.

Simon Kjaer, Davide Calabria, Ante Rebic, Rafael Leao and Pietro Pellegri are all sidelined with various injuries, whilst Olivier Giroud is set to start on the bench considering that he’s just returned from a torn muscle injury.

Milan sit second in the Serie A table, trailing intercity rivals and league leaders Inter by only four points. A victory against Napoli today would see them rise to only a single point behind Simone Inzaghi’s side.

Pioli notes Milan must ‘raise the level of our performance’ against Napoli

Napoli are also dealing with an injury crisis, with Kalidou Koulibaly, Mario Rui and Fabian Ruiz all absent, whilst Victor Osimhen is in doubt after fracturing his cheekbone recently, although he could be called up after receiving a protective carbon-fibre face mask.
