Lazio Coach Stefano Pioli says Ravel Morrison “is not in good condition” – “he knows what he has to do”.

The midfielder has struggled to break into the Biancocelesti team after arriving this summer, and has been repeatedly linked with a return to England.

“Morrison won’t be called-up tomorrow because he’s not in good condition,” Pioli explained in his Press conference ahead of the Napoli game.

“His adjustment period is over. He knows what he has to do – and what not to do – to be called-up. The same goes for him as all the others.”

Pioli has criticised Morrison in the past, noting that he "doesn't speak a word of Italian" and insisting he doesn't work hard enough.

The player then hit back by stating that former Juventus striker Carlos Tevez couldn't speak Italian, but later backtracked.

Morrison has played just 53 minutes of Serie A football this season.
