During the press conference ahead of the match against Torino at San Siro, the coach also talked about the current transfer market.

“There’s a great rapport between the technical area and the ownership, I think we will do something,” Pioli said at a press conference.

“We can’t rush anything. We will do it when and if there’s the possibility.”

Mohamed Simakan has been linked with a move to San Siro this winter, but Pioli didn’t want to talk about the possibilities of signing the Strasbourg defender.

“I have no comment to make, I comment on the players I’m coaching.”

But Milan are also working to keep some of their current stars, as Calhanoglu, Donnarumma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are among the key members on expiring deals.

“I believe there’s the will of the owners to renew expiring deals,” the coach added. “They are negotiating.

“I’m here waiting, but the positive thing is that both sides are willing. The important thing is to see the lads attentive and serene.”
