“The quality of the opponent this evening is very high, but I still ask my team to play our football and try to control the game,” Pioli told Amazon Prime.

“It was certainly a surprise to see Chelsea lose against Dinamo Zagreb, then they changed coach and remain a great side who won the Champions League two years ago.”

This represents a return home to Stamford Bridge for former Chelsea players Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud.

“It’ll be a good test for us against one of the big European clubs. It will also be a special evening for Giroud and Tomori, who are important players for us.”

Inevitably, the speculation has flared up again around Chelsea and their attempts to poach Portuguese talent Rafael Leao from Milan.

“He is doing very well with us, he is motivated and has to continue like this.”

  1. This feels like a must-2in for both teams, though Milan would still sit fine with a draw, after Salburg now goes top on 5.

A loss would be awful, but still not devastating.
