“Marchetti and [Filip] Djordjevic will not be available for tomorrow,” Pioli revealed in his pre-match Press conference.
“Marchetti picked up an injury two days ago, Djordjevic two weeks ago. The recovery time for Djordjevic will have to be evaluated, but he’s still not able to train with his teammates.
“We’ll ask the medical staff for more details. We have [Miroslav] Klose, but also Keita [Balde Diao] and [Ricardo] Kishna who can help out if necessary.”
Will any of the new signings, such as Ravel Morrison, feature in tomorrow’s match?
“All the new arrivals are working with great willingness and dedication to be involved as soon as possible.
“They’re well underway, they’ll be available, but the team will only be decided tomorrow morning.”
Pioli also addressed speculation linking midfielder Lucas Biglia to Manchester United, insisting the Argentinian international is happy to remain in Rome
“Biglia is happy, available, and proud to be Lazio captain. And Lazio are ready.”
